So you're ready to start. But where?
First, you need the correct fabric! Monk's cloth or linen for rug hooking are the way to go. Any other fabric that "looks like it might work" won't, unfortunately. Stick to the correct fabric and you'll have a blast with your projects. More on fabric next time!
I'll show you 2 ways how to make a fabric - stapling and carpet tack.
Stapling is great if you want to keep and display your project on the frame on which you're punching.
Carpet tack frame is great if you want to reuse it for punching and display your projects on another frame/another way. Alternatively you can use gripper strips which are amazing and cause less poking :)
